“What happens next??”

Callback auditions have been scheduled for Tuesday, April 1^st, 2025, at 7pm. Some actors, or some roles, require a second look. Some roles will require a dance audition, several will require cold reading and singing from the script. If you are requested to attend the callback, you will be notified no later than 12pm on Monday, March 31^st. We will attempt to reach you in person first, but if we are unsuccessful we will send an invitation via email. You must confirm receipt of the email, and inform us whether or not (with explanation) you will be attending the callback.

Some roles may be cast directly off of the general audition without a callback. If you are not requested to attend the callback, DON’T PANIC! It does not necessarily mean that you are not still being considered. It ONLY means that we do not need to see you again at this time.

To prepare for these callback auditions, you will want to dress for movement with appropriate shoes. You will be taught a dance routine, and some people will also be taught selected music from the show. You do not need to prepare any additional songs or a monologue. If required, you will be provided with sides (selected materials) from the script and score at the callback audition for a cold read/sing. These materials are not available from ASTRA prior to the actual scheduled callback audition.

The callback auditions will begin at 7:00 pm in the All Saints School Social Hall (same place as auditions).

Regardless of whether or not you receive a callback, you will be contacted with the results of our casting decision. All auditioners will receive a call or Email. If after two attempts we are not able to reach you via phone, you will likely receive the information in an email. Only once ALL auditioners have been notified, will the cast list be posted on the ASTRA website. You must not share your casting status until after the cast list is posted on the website. The cast list should be posted by the end of the day on Sunday, April 6^th, 2025.

If you have accepted a role, the first rehearsal is Monday, May 12^th in the Parish Center at 6:30 pm. You will receive a final rehearsal schedule via email by April 13^th which will indicate which rehearsal dates your character(s) is required to attend. We will do our best to consider the conflicts you provided on your audition form when scheduling your rehearsals. Additional conflicts submitted after April 6^th may not be approved. Excessive conflicts may result in re-casting a role.

We will be scheduling appointments for headshots in April.

All cast members are required to be present for all tech rehearsals, performances and strike.
