Newsies

When are the performance dates for Newsies?

Six performances are scheduled:    July 25^th, 26^th, 27^th    and    August 1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd

When are the auditions for Newsies?

Saturday March 29^th at 10am  *No appointment is necessary.

Sunday, March 30^th at 1pm  *No appointment is necessary.

              If you cannot attend any of the scheduled audition dates, please email ASTRA at info@astramusical.com

              You may submit your audition via YouTube or video. All YouTube or video auditions must be received by Friday, March 28^th.

 When are callbacks?
Tuesday, April 1^st at 7pm

Where are the auditions?
Auditions will be held at the All Saints School cafeteria at 504 2^nd St SW, Puyallup, WA 98371.

Is there an age limit for auditions?
Applicants must be able to portray a teenage or older character.

 Are there non-dancing ensemble roles?
Yes

 What should applicants bring to the auditions?

 Be prepared to sing a song of your choice for up to 1.5 minutes total in length. The vocal director prefers that you bring sheet music rather than digital forms, but all will be accepted and materials provided for both will be available.

 Wear comfortable clothing and shoes for dancing. After singing, groups of 5-8 will learn and perform a dance audition immediately following their singing audition.

Do parents of teens and children need to attend?
Any minors (under age 16) need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian and are required to stay for the duration of the audition.

When are rehearsals?
Monday – Thursday May 12^th – July 17^th 6:30-9m

What other key dates are required to attend?
Tech Week: July 19^th – July 24^th
Strike: August 3^rd following the last show
