Music Through the Decades – FAQ’s
1. When are the performance dates for Music Through The Decades?
Three performances are scheduled:
July 27th at 2pm and 7pm
July 28th at 2pm
2. When are the auditions for Music Through The Decades?
Saturday June 22nd at 10am
Sunday, June 23rd at 1pm
*No appointment is necessary and there are NO callbacks planned.
If you cannot attend any of the scheduled audition dates, please email ASTRA at info@astramusical.com
You may submit your audition via a YouTube or video. All YouTube or video auditions must be received by Friday, June 21st.
3. Where are the auditions?
Auditions will be held at the All Saints School Cafeteria at 504 2nd St SW, Puyallup, WA 98371 by entering the door in parking lot on the corner of 3rd St SW & 6th Av SW.
4. Is there an age limit for auditions?
There is no age limit; performers should be capable of confident solo performance.
5. What should applicants bring to the auditions?
Be prepared to sing a song of your choice for up to 1.5 minutes total in length. If you bring sheet music, bring it in the key you wish to sing; a piano accompanist will be provided. You may also download your music and a Bluetooth speaker will be provided.
6. Do parents of teens and children need to attend?
Any minors (under age 16) need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian and are required to stay for the duration of the audition.
7. When are rehearsals?
Week 1: July 8th – 11th (Mon-Thurs) 6:30-9pm (as assigned)
Week 2: July 15th, 16th, and 18th (Mon, Tues, Thurs) 6:30-9pm (as assigned)
Week 3 (Tech Week): July 20th – 26th (Sun-Fri, Times TBD)
8. What other key dates are required to attend?
All performers must attend STRIKE immediately following the last performance on Sunday, July 28th.
9. How many performers will be selected?
There are 10 decades of music, 2 performers per decade; we plan on casting 10-20 performers.
